Gerd Marie is an associate professor at the Faculty of Theology, Diaconia and Leadership Studies, Centre of Mission and Global Studies. VID Specialized University, Stavanger Campus, Norway. Her research interests are among the following: Children and young people, Child soldiers, Christian-Muslim relations, Early Islamic history and theology, Local Islamic Institutions, Transmission of values and narratives in Muslim families.

GEORGIOS TRANTAS

Georgios is a Senior Researcher at VID Specialised University, Stavanger. Prior to that, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Post-doctoral Individual Fellow at the University of Aston, School of Languages and Social Sciences. He has been consecutively a Pre-doctoral, Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Erfurt, Religious Studies—Orthodox Christianity. His interdisciplinary expertise involves the interplay of religion and politics, the Politics of Religion and Cultural Diplomacy / International Relations. His research interests primarily comprise migration and the formation of corresponding religioscapes, Eastern Orthodox Christianity, European Integration, forced displacement, interreligious dialogue and migrant integration, among others.

He iscurrently writing his MA thesis as part of a larger research project titled “MAVI” (Between Ambitions and Reality) about the experiences of recently arrived refugees entering the Norwegian labour market at VID Specialized University.

SZONJA ZOLTANFI

Szonja, born and raised in Budapest, holds a BA in Sociology, currently enrolled doing her MA in Community Development and Social Innovation at VID as well as Social Integration at Eotvos Lorand University. Her main interests are family structures and values, religiosity, migration, intercultural communication and -psychology and prejudice reduction. She is currently working on writing her MA thesis about the family narratives, life strategies and future-planning of first and second generation Muslim migrants in Norway.
